BPS Mamasa: Strategic Data Hearing, ST2023 Phase I Booklet Submission, and EPSS Results

December 13, 2023 | Other Activities

The head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa District, along with the staff, visited the Mamasa Regent's Office on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. During the visit, BPS was received directly by the Acting Regent of Mamasa, Yakub F. Solon, and his staff. Also present was the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappelitbangda), Hermin Lullulangi. In this visit, the Head of BPS Mamasa, Aan Setyawan, presented strategic data for Mamasa District to the local government, culminating in the handover of booklets containing the results of ST2023 Phase 1 and the Evaluation of Sectoral Statistical Implementation (EPSS) for Mamasa District in 2023.

Some of the strategic data presented by Aan Setyawan included social demographics, the economy, and the implementation of sectoral statistics. In his presentation, Aan Setyawan emphasized issues related to the concentration of the population working in the agricultural sector, unemployment, and economic development, especially in the agricultural sector. The Acting Regent of Mamasa responded to the presented strategic data with high enthusiasm, particularly regarding the unemployment rate among vocational school graduates.

"The Statistical Development Index for Mamasa District is 1.32. This figure still falls short of expectations, which is 2.60," stated Aan Setyawan regarding the Evaluation of Sectoral Statistical Implementation in Mamasa District. Some reasons for the failure to meet the Statistical Development Index for Mamasa District include the absence of regulations or local government policies related to sectoral statistical implementation within the scope of Mamasa District's local government data producers, as well as a lack of supporting evidence indicating that sectoral statistical implementation at the data producer level conforms to standardized statistical business processes (Generic Statistical Business Process Model, GSBPM) for all data producers.

Yakub F. Solon emphasized the need to strengthen the development of sectoral statistical implementation in the future to meet the expectations of a better Statistical Development Index for Mamasa District. The visit concluded with the handover of booklets containing the results of ST2023 Phase 1 and a comprehensive report on the results of EPSS for Mamasa District in 2023.
