January 25, 2024 | Other Activities

Wednesday (24/01/2024) - Head of the Mamasa Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Sectoral Statistics Development (PSS) team visited the Mamasa Regent's Office House (Rujab). The BPS team was received directly by the Acting Regent of Mamasa, Muhammad Zain and also present was the Regional Secretary, Muhammad Syukur. During this visit, the Head of BPS for Mamasa Regency, Aan Setyawan, presented strategic data for Mamasa Regency which ended with the handing over of the ST2023 phase 1 results booklet.

Some of the strategic data presented by Aan Setyawan included the social conditions of population, the economy, and the implementation of sectoral statistics. In his presentation, Aan Setyawan emphasized the concentration of the population working in the agricultural sector, unemployment, and economic development, especially the agricultural sector. Acting Regent Mamasa responded to the strategic data presented with great enthusiasm, especially regarding the unemployment rate for vocational and tertiary education graduates.

“The Mamasa Regency Statistical Development Index value is 1.32. "This figure still does not meet expectations, namely 2.60," explained Aan Setyawan regarding the Evaluation of the Implementation of Mamasa Regency Sectoral Statistics. Several reasons why the Mamasa Regency Statistical Development Index is not fulfilled are the absence of regulations, especially the One Data Indonesia (SDI) regulations or local government policies regarding the implementation of sectoral statistics within the scope of regional government data producers in Mamasa Regency as well as the lack of supporting evidence showing that the implementation of sectoral statistics is within the scope of Data producers comply with standard statistical business processes (Generic Statistical Business Process Model, GSBPM) for all data producers.

Muhammad Zain advised that development in the implementation of sectoral statistics be further strengthened in the future as well as further studies regarding overcoming inflation and unemployment which are quite high among vocational and tertiary graduates.
