Mamasa's 22nd Anniversary Cultural Carnival

[Saturday, 9/3/2024] - The Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi, held a cultural parade as part of the 22nd anniversary celebration of Mamasa Regency. BPS Mamasa Regency was also present to enliven the event as an invited participant. Parade participants commenced their journey from the Mamasa Regency DPRD office and concluded at the Mamasa Tribun Kondo Sapata. Thousands of participants, consisting of 92 groups representing various layers of society, such as schools, communities, religious institutions, and local government agencies (OPDs), adorned the 22nd anniversary celebration of Mamasa with traditional Mamasa attire and other ornaments reflecting the identity of each group.

The cultural parade started at 07:00 WITA and lasted until 12:00 WITA. In addition to the parade, the event also featured artistic performances and concluded with a door prize draw. The Acting Regent (Pj) of Mamasa Regency, Muhammad Zain, expressed appreciation to all participants and attendees, "Thank you to all the people who have attended," he said.

Zain also urged all community members to collectively build Mamasa with a spirit of mutual respect, love, and dignity towards one another. "If you open my heart, you will only find one beautiful sentence, 'I love Mamasa.' Let us maintain harmony, like brothers and sisters living together in happiness and peace. Together we are inseparable, together we are unbeatable," Zain concluded.

The cultural parade event in commemoration of Mamasa's 2024 anniversary successfully brought an atmosphere of togetherness and pride in cultural heritage, reflecting the spirit of unity and solidarity among the Mamasa community.
