SEP 2024: Unveiling the Well-being and Economic Contribution of Mamasa's Agricultural Sector

June 3, 2024 | BPS Activities

[Mamasa, June 3, 2024] - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa Regency is conducting the Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) 2024. This survey is being carried out from June 1 to 30, 2024, with the aim of collecting important data related to the economic aspects of agricultural businesses in the Mamasa Regency area. BPS officers will conduct direct interviews with individual agricultural businesses selected as samples. These samples are spread across 17 sub-districts throughout Mamasa Regency.

SEP 2024 is part of a series of follow-up surveys in the agricultural sector after the implementation of the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST) which was carried out comprehensively. The data obtained from SEP 2024 will later include information on income, expenses, cost structure, and welfare indicators of agricultural businesses in Indonesia.

In addition, SEP 2024 also provides important basic data for monitoring several indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs) in the agricultural sector. The scope of the surveyed business units includes individual farming businesses (UTP), legal agricultural businesses (UPB), and other agricultural businesses (UTL).

The information obtained from SEP 2024 is expected to be an important input for various parties in formulating policies and development programs in the agricultural sector, especially in Mamasa Regency. This data can also be used to see an overview of the economic conditions of the agricultural sector as a whole in Indonesia.
