Training for Sakernas Officers: Preparing Professional Field Enumerators with CAPI Technology

[Mamasa, January 22, 2025] – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa Regency held a training session for officers of the February National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas), attended by 11 participants, consisting of 9 Field Enumerators (PCL) and 2 Field Supervisors (PML). The training was led by two regional instructors and officially opened by the Head of BPS Mamasa Regency, Aan Setyawan.

The training was conducted in three phases. The first phase involved learning through the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform, which took place from January 12-14, 2025. The second phase, remote learning via Zoom, was held from January 15-17, 2025. Meanwhile, the final phase was an in-person training session at the BPS Mamasa Regency hall, held on January 20-21, 2025.

One important aspect of this training was the use of the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) application through Fasih Mobile for the data collection process. This application allows officers to collect data digitally, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of field data collection.

In his opening remarks, the Head of BPS Mamasa, Aan Setyawan, stated, "This training is not only aimed at improving the technical skills of the officers, but also ensuring that every piece of data collected is of the highest quality. We believe that accurate and reliable data is the foundation for better development in the future."

The training also provided information about the Sakernas updating phase, which will take place from January 24 to February 7, 2025. Meanwhile, the Sakernas data collection phase is scheduled from February 8 to 28, 2025.

Through this training, it is expected that the Sakernas officers will carry out their duties professionally, producing high-quality data that supports strategic policy-making at both the national and regional levels.
