Mamasa BPS Intensifies SE2026 Oversight to Ensure Data Quality Untill Data Collection Ends
August 31, 2026 | BPS Activities
These efforts
are carried out through several activities, including weekly briefings held
every Friday, the SE2026 roll call every Wednesday, and spot checks or field
supervision. These activities involve BPS Mamasa Regency staff along with 2026
Economic Census officers assigned to various data collection areas in Mamasa Regency.
Weekly briefings
serve as a regular means of evaluating the progress of data collection. During
these sessions, various challenges encountered by field staff are discussed
collectively to identify appropriate solutions and follow-up actions. In addition,
the briefings are used to ensure that staff maintain a shared understanding of
the concepts, definitions, and procedures involved in data collection, thereby
ensuring consistency and quality in the data entries.
In addition to
the weekly briefing, the Mamasa Regency BPS also holds the SE2026 Roll Call
every Wednesday as a means of coordination and to reinforce the commitment of
all staff members. Through this activity, progress on data collection is
monitored regularly, and it also serves as a forum for providing guidance,
conducting evaluations, and addressing various matters that require the staff’s
attention as the data collection period draws to a close.
Quality control
is also conducted directly through spot checks and field supervision. Field staff
or supervisors visit various areas and respondents to ensure that the data
collection process has been carried out in accordance with procedures. These
checks include verifying the existence of businesses, the completeness of the
information collected, and the consistency between on-site conditions and the
data recorded by field staff.
“This series of
monitoring activities is part of the Mamasa Regency BPS’s commitment to
producing high-quality data for the 2026 Economic Census. Through tiered and
ongoing monitoring until the end of the data collection period, we hope that
any potential errors or data discrepancies can be promptly identified and
corrected,” said Abd Syukur, Head of the Mamasa Regency BPS.
As the data collection period nears its end on August 31, 2026, the Mamasa Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) continues to prioritize data quality. High-quality SE2026 data is expected to provide an accurate picture of the state and structure of the economy, while also serving as a crucial foundation for future policy-making and development planning.
