Abstract

Farmer's Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in Sulawesi Barat in March 2018 was 110.12; up 1.81 percent compared to NTP in February 2018. In addition, NTP by subsector was recorded for Food Crop Subsector (NTP-P) 100.08; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 112,56; Plantation Crops Subsector (NTP-R) 118.89; Livestock Sub-sector (NTP-T) 105,23; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTN) 106,67. 

The results of rural consumer price monitoring indicate a rural deflation in Sulawesi Barat in March 2018 of 0.41 percent, which is generally triggered by the decline in some price index of expenditure group. • Inflation in rural areas occurred in 26 provinces in Indonesia, the highest in Bali 0.84 percent and the lowest in West Java 0.01 percent. While the other 7 provinces experienced deflation, the highest in West Nusa Tenggara 0.55 percent and the lowest in Central Java 0.04 percent. Sulawesi Barat ranks 4th out of 7 provinces experiencing rural deflation.

For national scale, NTP March 2018 is 101,94; decreased by 0.39 percent compared to February 2018, and experienced rural inflation of 0.12 percent.
