Abstract

According to Consumer Price Survey Result that 82 cities in Indonesian on August 2018, indicate that 30 cities was inflation and 52 cities was deflation. The highest inflation rate was happen in Tarakan amount of 0,62 percent and the lowest in Medan and Padang Sidempuan amount of 0,01 percent while the highest deflation rate was happen in Bau-Bau amount of 2,49 percent and the lowest in Jember amount of 0,01 percent, Mamuju ranks occupy on 7th lowest from 52 cities that was happen deflation.

Deflation in Mamuju City on August 2018 was happen because decreased of price at three expenditure group there are food group 0,54 percent; clothing 0,05 percent; education, recreation and sport 0,01 percent; while group that had inflation was prepared food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group 0,10 percent; housing, water, electricity, and fuel gas group 0,14 percent and transport, communication, and finance service 0,16 percent; while health grup relatively stable.

The rate of index change of calender year on August 2018 in Mamuju was inflation 1,69 percent while change of index year by year (August 2018 to August 2017) was inflation 2,27 percent.
