In September 2018, the percentage of the poor population (population with per capita monthly expenditure below the poverty line) in West Sulawesi reached 11.22 percent (152.83 thousand people), was down 0.02 percent points (in absolute terms increased by 1.05 thousand people) if compared to conditions in March 2018 to reach 11.25 percent (151.78 thousand people).
