Abstract

• The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of II-2021 which was measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of current prices reached 12.20 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of the 2010 constant price reached 8.35 trillion rupiah.

• The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the second quarter of II-2021 experienced growth of 5.44 percent compared to the same quarter in 2020 (y-on-y). Increased value-added creation occurs in almost all business field categories. The biggest source of economic growth occurs in the category of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. While in terms of expenditure, the source of the largest economic growth comes from the component of gross fixed capital formation (PMTB).

• The economy of Sulawesi Barat in quarter II-2021 experienced a growth of 5.20 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 (Q-to-Q). If viewed from the side of the business, the biggest source of economic growth is experienced by the category of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. If viewed in terms of expenditure, the source of the largest economic growth comes from the government's consumption spending component (PKP).

• The economy of Sulawesi Barat in the first semester (cumulative quarter I and II 2021) experienced growth of 2.18 percent compared to the first semester of 2020 (C-to-C), the economy of Sulawesi Barat grew slightly faster than the first semester of 2020 which amounted to 1 , 99 percent.

• On a regional scale in the Maluku Papua Sulawesi area, the highest economic growth in the quarter II-2021 (Y-on-Y) occurred in North Maluku by 16.89 percent. The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 5.44 percent, occupying sixth place in ten provinces.
