Abstract

Inflation in Mamuju City occurred because of the price increase indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices namely food, beverage and tobacco groups 0.37 percent; Clothing group and 0.57 percent footwear; housing groups, water, electricity, and household fuel of 0.23 percent; Group equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance of households 2.71 percent; Health group 0.04 percent; transportation group 2.54 percent; Food and beverage / restaurant provision group 0.79 percent; and personal care groups and other services 0.54 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced deflation was the information, communication and financial services group of 0.11 percent and a group of recreation, sports and culture of 0.09 percent.

The level of change in the calendar year in March 2022 in Mamuju recorded an inflation of 1.78 percent and the level of change in the year of the year (March 2022 to March 2021) showed an inflation of 3.22 percent.

Based on the results of the consumer price survey of 90 cities in Indonesia in March 2022, it showed that 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Merauke at 1.86 percent and the lowest in Kupang by 0.09 percent.
