Abstract

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2022 measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on valid prices reached 13.56 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached 8.51 trillion rupiah.

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2022 experienced a growth of 2.13 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2021 (Y-on-Y). Increasing the creation of added value occurs in almost all categories of business fields. The largest source of economic growth in Y-on-y occurs in the categories of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the component of household consumption expenditure (PKRT).

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter II-2022 experienced a growth of 6.44 percent compared to quarter I-2022 (Q-to-Q). When viewed from the side of the business field, the largest source of economic growth in Q-to-Q occurs in the categories of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. When viewed in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth is the component of government consumption expenditure.

The economy of Sulawesi Barat was cumulatively in the second quarter of 2022 (cumulative quarter I and II 2022) managed to grow by 1.55 percent compared to the cumulative quarter of II-2021 (C-to-C).

On the regional scale in the Sulawesi region of Maluku Papua, the highest economic growth in the second quarter of 2022 (Y-on-Y) occurred in North Maluku by 27.74 percent, followed by Papua by 14.38 percent and Central Sulawesi by 11.17 percent . The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 2.13 percent, occupying the last position of ten provinces.
