Abstract

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter III-2023 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on valid prices reached 15.05 trillion rupiah, while on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached 9.16 trillion rupiah.

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter III-2023 experienced a growth of 7.50 percent when compared to the third quarter of 2022 (Y-on-Y). Increasing the creation of added value occurs in most business field categories. The largest source of economic growth occurs in the categories of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the net export component.

The economy of Sulawesi Barat quarter III-2023 experienced a growth of 1.29 percent compared to quarter II-2023 (Q-to-Q). When viewed in terms of business fields, the largest source of economic growth is in the categories of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. When viewed in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth is the gross fixed capital formation component (PMTB).

The economy of Sulawesi Barat cumulatively in the third quarter of 2023 (cumulative quarter I to the third quarter of 2023) experienced a growth of 5.85 percent when compared to the cumulative quarter III-2022 (C-to-C).

On the regional scale in the Sulawesi Maluku Papua (Sulampua) region, the highest economic growth in the third quarter of Y-on-Y occurred in North Maluku by 25.13 percent, followed by Central Sulawesi by 13.06 percent. The Sulawesi Barat experienced a growth of 7.50 percent, ranked fourth out of ten provinces.
