Abstract

The economy of Sulawesi Barat in 2024 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached 64.21 trillion rupiah, while at constant prices in 2010 it reached 37.09 trillion rupiah
Sulawesi Barat's economy in 2024 will experience growth of 4.76 percent compared to 2023 (c-to-c). The increase in added value creation occurred in almost all categories of business fields. The largest sources of economic growth occurred in the agriculture, fisheries and forestry categories. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the largest source of economic growth comes from the PKRT component.
Sulawesi Barat's economy in quarter IV-2024 experienced growth of 6.65 percent when compared to quarter IV-2023 (y-on-y).
Sulawesi Barat's economy in the fourth quarter of 2024 experienced growth of 3.14 percent compared to the third quarter of 2024 (q-to-q)
On a regional scale in the Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua (Sulampua) regions, the highest economic growth in 2024 will occur in West Papua, which will achieve growth of 20.80 percent, followed by North Maluku, which will achieve growth of 13.73 percent. Meanwhile, Sulawesi Barat was only able to grow by 4.76 percent, occupying eighth position out of fourteen provinces in the Sulampua Region.
