On Monday (20/11/2023), The Mamasa District Statistics Agency (BPS) organized the Training for Area Sampling Framework (KSA) and Ubinan 2024 at Hotel Sajojo in Mamasa District. The training was attended by one regional instructor, Apella Melianta, SST., with a total of 24 participants.
The Area Sampling Framework (KSA) is a data collection method that utilizes technology to generate more accurate, objective, and real-time estimates of rice and food crop harvest areas. Data from KSA Paddy will serve as the basis for selecting samples in the crop survey, providing essential data for calculating food crop production figures.
The KSA training was officially opened by the Head of BPS Mamasa District, Aan Setyawan, SST., M.Si., followed by a presentation by the Regional Instructor to enhance participants' understanding of the importance of KSA and its data for development, especially in Mamasa District. Subsequently, Inda addressed common issues arising from the use of the KSA application and provided solutions. After the presentation, a video was shown to enhance the understanding of the concepts. The training concluded with the selection of the best participants and closing remarks by Herni, the Head of Statistical Production at BPS Mamasa District.
The goal of this KSA training is to refresh the knowledge of the participants and emphasize aspects related to the development of concepts and definitions in the KSA Survey. This is particularly important as the majority of participants are partners who have previously participated in the KSA Survey. It is hoped that with this KSA training, the data on rice and food crops produced will be more accurate and of higher quality.
