Thursday (11/23/2023), the leadership of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa District, along with its staff, visited the Office of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappelitbangda) of Mamasa District. Their presence is part of the guidance provided by the Head of BPS West Sulawesi Province through Letter No. B-86/76523/.600/10/2023 dated October 16, 2023, regarding the Handover of Regsosek Data.
The Head of BPS Mamasa District, Aan Setyawan, SST., M.Si, explained the Minutes of Handover of Initial Socio-Economic Registration Data (BAST). The document has been officially signed and handed over to the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas). With this handover, all ownership, authority, and management of the Initial Regsosek Data lie entirely under the responsibility of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas.
Aan also encouraged the preparation of a data request letter to the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas, accompanied by a copy to BPS Mamasa District. This step is expected to provide clear guidance in the distribution of aid through the Regional Government. One of its crucial aspects is the use of Regsosek data as a reference in determining eligible recipients of social assistance. This data is expected to serve as the basis for the policy of the Mamasa District Regional Government, directly impacting the lives of the community.
This visit marks the initial step in optimizing the use of the latest data for the benefit of the community. It underscores the importance of collaboration between government agencies in supporting policies that favor the welfare of the people.
