Inauguration & Oath Taking Ceremony in BPS West Sulawesi: Enhancing Professionalism & Public Service

[Wednesday, 27/03/2024] - The inauguration ceremony and oath-taking for functional positions within the scope of West Sulawesi were conducted at the Office of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Polewali Mandar Regency and were attended directly by the Head of the BPS of West Sulawesi Province, Tina Wahyufitri, who also served as the leader of the inauguration ceremony. A total of 19 functional officials to be inaugurated were present at this event along with representatives from each district in West Sulawesi Province. In this inauguration ceremony, 3 of the 19 were functional officials from the BPS Mamasa Regency Work Unit.

In efforts to advance career development, enhance the professionalism of civil servants (ASN), and improve the organizational performance of the BPS of West Sulawesi Province, the appointment of functional positions is deemed necessary. Tina emphasized that functional officials have specific duties requiring particular expertise, and it is expected that with such expertise, the public services provided by the BPS can become more efficient and optimal. This event signifies an increase in their responsibility in fulfilling their duties as trusted government employees. The oath they take is not only a personal commitment but also before the Almighty.

Through this inauguration, it is hoped that the newly appointed functional officials can continuously enhance their professionalism in performing their duties and provide maximum contributions to their respective work units. Faced with increasingly complex work challenges in the future, they are required to adhere to public policies established by the Personnel Administration Official (Work Unit Head) in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations. They are also expected to deliver professional and quality public services, as well as strengthen unity and solidarity within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
