Village Potential 2024: Enhancing Competence of Field Officers through Training

[Mamasa, April 29, 2024] - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa Regency held a training to prepare field data collection officers for the Village Potential (Podes) 2024. This training was divided into two stages, namely online via Zoom Meeting on April 25-26, 2024 and offline at Hotel Sajojo Mamasa Regency on April 29, 2024.

The Head of BPS Mamasa Regency, Aan Setyawan, opened the training directly. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of this training to ensure the quality of the data collected. He also conveyed that all participants must achieve the minimum score that has been set to pass the training.

This training was attended by 36 participants consisting of 9 BPS Mamasa Regency employees and 27 statistics partners who will be assigned to the Podes 2024 data collection. Participants received material on the concept and methodology of Podes 2024, data collection techniques, and the use of data collection applications. In addition, they were also equipped with knowledge about the culture and customs of the people in Mamasa Regency.

The main purpose of this training is to equip officers with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out the Podes 2024 data collection accurately and efficiently. Through this training, it is hoped that the data collected can provide a comprehensive picture of the potential of villages in Mamasa Regency.

BPS Mamasa Regency is optimistic that the Podes 2024 data collection will run smoothly and produce quality data. This Podes data will be used for various purposes, such as regional development planning, policy formulation, and village statistics development.
