[Mamasa, September 5, 2024] – Central Statistics of Indonesia (BPS) of Mamasa Regency participated in a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) held at the Bappeda Hall of Mamasa Regency. The FGD was part of the process of revising the Regional Spatial Planning Document (RTRW) for Mamasa Regency, with the Center for Technology of Hasanuddin University serving as the expert speaker.
The main goal of the discussion was to address the data that will form the basis for drafting a more comprehensive RTRW revision that aligns with the region's development needs. The Head of BPS Mamasa, Aan Setyawan, stated that BPS is fully committed to supporting the process by providing accurate and relevant statistical data. This data is considered crucial in drafting effective and efficient spatial planning.
"As an institution with an important role in providing statistical data, BPS is committed to offering full support by supplying the data needed for decision-making in the drafting of this RTRW," said Aan Setyawan in his remarks.
On this occasion, the team from Hasanuddin University's Center for Technology emphasized the importance of technology and data in designing spatial planning that adapts to the changing times and the challenges faced by Mamasa Regency. The use of the latest technology and proper data management are key factors in ensuring that the RTRW revision can support the region’s economic growth and the welfare of its people.
The discussion was actively attended by various local government agencies, academics, and other stakeholders who contributed input to create a more optimal and sustainable spatial plan for Mamasa Regency.
It is hoped that the results of this FGD will provide a strong foundation for the revision of Mamasa Regency's RTRW, which not only addresses future development challenges but also supports the local government's vision of creating a well-planned and prosperous region.
