[Mamasa, January 23, 2025] – 26 National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) officers for March 2025 participated in the second wave of training organized by Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Mamasa Regency. This training was conducted in a hybrid format, with online learning from January 20-22, 2025, and offline learning on January 23, 2025 at the Sajojo Hotel, Tatoa.
The Head of BPS Mamasa District, Aan Setyawan, officially opened the training on January 20, 2025. In his speech, he said that Susenas in 2025 experienced several adjustments, both in the instrument and the implementation schedule. “Although there are adjustments, Maintaining the quality of the data produced, ensuring it remains accurate and relevant, is our top priority,” said Aan Setyawan.
During the training, participants were equipped with theoretical materials, case studies, and hands-on practice through role-playing enumeration activities with respondents. This method is expected to improve officers' ability to communicate and collect data in the field effectively.
At the end of the training, the Head of BPS emphasized the importance of explaining the benefits of Susenas to the community and ensuring the confidentiality of respondent data. "The data we collect will be very helpful in understanding the social and economic situation of the community and will be used to decide how to improve development in Mamasa District," he added.
As part of the series of Susenas activities, the Head of BPS also reminded of the next agenda. Data updating will be carried out from February 1-6, 2025, followed by enumeration activities from February 8-27, 2025. "This training is not the end, but the beginning of a series of Susenas activities. I hope the officers can adjust their time and work optimally so that the implementation of Susenas can achieve its target and be completed on time," he concluded.
This training is expected to provide sufficient provisions for the officers, so that the March 2025 Susenas can run smoothly and produce quality data for better development.
