[Mamasa, April 22, 2025] — In an effort to improve the accuracy and completeness of data in the clean water sector, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamasa Regency coordinated with the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) of Mamasa Regency on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The coordination took place at the PDAM office and is part of the implementation of the 2025 Quarterly Survey of Clean Water Companies for the first quarter.
The coordination was conducted with the PDAM's Customer Relations Section, a technical unit responsible for managing customer data and clean water distribution. The meeting aimed to strengthen synergy between the two institutions and ensure the availability and accuracy of data needed for sectoral statistics. Through this survey, BPS collects various important data regarding PDAM operations, including the number of active customers by customer type, the volume of clean water distributed, the revenue generated from clean water distribution, as well as the volume of water lost during the distribution process, commonly referred to as non-revenue water. The types of customers recorded in the survey include social (such as places of worship and social institutions), households, government agencies, commercial entities, industrial users, and special categories in accordance with PDAM's classification.
BPS emphasized that the data collected through this survey will serve as a critical foundation for development planning and policy evaluation, particularly in the provision of basic public services. "This activity is very important to ensure that public policies related to clean water are based on valid data and reflect actual conditions in the field. We appreciate PDAM Mamasa’s cooperation in supporting the implementation of this survey," said a representative from BPS Mamasa.
The PDAM, through its Customer Relations Section, welcomed the coordination and expressed its commitment to continuously support the provision of accurate and transparent data. They also noted that the activity is helpful for internal evaluation and for improving service quality to customers. With effective coordination between BPS and PDAM, it is expected that data collection for Q1 2025 will run smoothly, accurately, and on time, thereby providing tangible benefits for regional development in Mamasa Regency.
