[Mamasa, May 9, 2025] – The Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis Team (Nerwilis) of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Mamasa Regency participated in the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Reconciliation for Quarter I of 2025, organized by BPS of West Sulawesi Province. The activity was conducted online via Zoom over three days, from May 7 to 9, 2025.
The reconciliation aimed to align and harmonize GRDP data across regencies in West Sulawesi Province, both from the Production and Expenditure approaches. This process is crucial to ensure that the data produced is accurate, consistent, and reliable as a basis for regional and national economic development planning.
The event was officially opened on Tuesday, May 7, 2025, by the Acting Head of BPS West Sulawesi Province, M. La’bi. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between BPS regency offices and Regional Government Agencies (OPDs) as sectoral data providers to produce accurate and representative GRDP figures.
"I hope that each BPS regency office can make the most of the limited data and resources available to produce high-quality GRDP figures. The resulting economic growth rate directly affects the provincial calculation, so it must be done carefully and thoughtfully," said M. La’bi. He added, "I also hope that regency leaders can act as role models for their teams in the GRDP calculation process, and that all reconciliation participants are granted ease in completing this important task."
The reconciliation activity was led by two consolidators from the Nerwilis team of BPS West Sulawesi Province: Didiq Rosadi Ali for the Production approach and Dwi Ardian for the Expenditure approach. Over the three-day session, each regency presented and discussed the data they had previously compiled, in order to reach a final agreement on the GRDP figures for Q1 2025.
Through this activity, it is expected that BPS Mamasa, along with other regencies in West Sulawesi Province, can produce more reliable GRDP data, which serves as a key indicator in measuring regional economic growth and in supporting targeted development planning.
