Mamasa, July 23, 2024 - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Mamasa Regency held an audience with the Acting Regent of Mamasa, Muhammad Zain, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to discuss the poverty rate in Mamasa Regency based on data from the March 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas).
The audience, which took place at the Mamasa Regent's Official Residence, was attended by the Head of BPS Mamasa Regency, Aan Setyawan, along with his staff, and the Acting Regent of Mamasa and his team. During the meeting, BPS Mamasa Regency presented the poverty data for Mamasa Regency as of March 2024, which showed a decrease in the poverty rate by 0.11 percentage points compared to March 2023.
Aan Setyawan explained several factors contributing to the change in the poverty rate in Mamasa, such as positive economic growth in Mamasa Regency and stable prices. The Acting Regent of Mamasa, Muhammad Zain, responded to BPS's presentation by expressing his appreciation for BPS's hard work in providing accurate and up-to-date data.
"BPS data is very important for us in formulating targeted policies and programs to tackle poverty in Mamasa," said the Acting Regent of Mamasa.
The Acting Regent of Mamasa also expressed his commitment to collaborating with BPS and various related parties in efforts to reduce poverty in Mamasa. "We will continue to coordinate with BPS and various related parties to formulate strategic and measurable steps in efforts to tackle poverty in Mamasa," he emphasized.
This audience is expected to lay the foundation for the Mamasa Regency Government and BPS Mamasa Regency to synergize in efforts to reduce poverty in Mamasa.
