EA SLS: Training to Improve Officer Quality

[Mamasa, August 1, 2024] - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Mamasa Regency conducted a training session for Field Officers on Updating Enumeration Area (EA) of Local Environment Units (SLS) on Monday, July 29, 2024. The Updating EA SLS 2024 activity aims to update the administrative areas of SLS that have undergone changes. The results of this area update will serve as a reference for BPS in updating the sample framework for BPS surveys.

The list of SLS areas that have changed was obtained from the 2024 PODES data collection. The training was attended by 11 participants, consisting of 6 partners and 5 organic staff. Muhammad Hasbi Ashshidiq, S.Tr.Stat., First-Class Computer Pranata at BPS Mamasa Regency, served as the Regional Instructor, delivering detailed materials accompanied by discussions and Q&A sessions.

The Head of BPS Mamasa Regency, Aan Setyawan, S.ST., M.Si., officially opened the training. In his remarks, Aan advised the officers to carry out the updates in the field according to the SOP and procedures taught by the Instructor.

It is hoped that through this training, all officers will perform their tasks effectively and according to the scheduled timeline, which is August 2024, and produce high-quality data. The results of this update will be used as the basis for processing SLS maps in subsequent activities.
