Abstract

Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) West Sulawesi April 2015 amounted to 102.87 down -0.07 percent compared to NTP in March 2015 that amounted to 102.94. In addition, the NTP according to the subsector recorded for Food Crops subsector (NTP-P) 97.00; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 100.49; Smallholder Crop Subsector (NTP-R) 109.25; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 101.38; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 99.78. NTP Fisheries Subsector formed from the combination of fisheries and aquaculture has the NTP respectively by 99.54 and 100.21. Results of monitoring consumer prices showed deflation of rural villages in West Sulawesi in April 2015 amounted to -0.14 percent, which is generally triggered by a decline in the price index of food expenditure group of -1.06 percent. While the price index of six other expenditure groups increased, ie expenditure price index of food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco increased by 0.22 percent, housing expenditure price index by 0.11 per cent, the price index for clothing expenditure group 0 , 74 percent, health expenditures price index group by 0.28 percent, the price index of education expenditure groups, recreation and sports at 0.34 percent and transportation and communication expenses of 1.84 percent. Inflation in rural areas occurred in 22 provinces in Indonesia, the highest in West Sumatra 0.98 percent and 0.02 percent the lowest in Lampung. Meanwhile eleven experienced deflation rural province, the highest in North Sulawesi -0.59 percent and the lowest in East Nusa Tenggara -0.01 percent. West Sulawesi ranked fifth of the eleven provinces that experienced deflation. On a national scale, NTP month of April 2015 amounted to 100.14, down by -1.37 percent compared to March 2015, and experienced inflation of 0.21 percent rural.
