Abstract

Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) West Sulawesi June 2015 amounted to 104.76; NTP increased 0.93 percent compared to May 2015 amounted to 103.79. In addition, the NTP according to the subsector recorded for Food Crops subsector (NTP-P) 96.75; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) 100.54; Smallholder Crop Subsector (NTP-R) 114.51; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) 101.66; and Fisheries Subsector (NTN) 101.26. NTP Fisheries Subsector formed from the combination of fisheries and aquaculture has the NTP respectively by 101.66 and 100.53. The monitoring results indicate the occurrence of rural consumer price inflation in the rural areas of West Sulawesi in June 2015 by 1.06 percent, which is generally triggered by the rising price index seven expenditure groups, where the price index of food expenditure group increased by 2.10 percent, the price index of the group spending foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco increased by 0.59 percent, housing expenditure price index by 0.03 percent, the price index of clothing expenditure group by 0.13 percent, health expenditures price index group by 0.28 percent, and group transportation and communication expenses of 0.06 percent. In the meantime expenditure price index of education, recreation and sports deflation of -0.09 percent. Inflation in rural areas occurred in 31 provinces in Indonesia, the highest in South Sumatra, 1.38 percent and 0.14 percent the lowest in the Moluccas. Meanwhile two experienced deflation rural provinces, namely East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara experiencing deflation respectively by -0.46 percent and -0.08 percent. West Sulawesi ranks 13th out of 31 provinces experienced inflation. On a national scale, NTP month of June 2015 amounted to 100.52; an increase of 0.50 percent compared to May 2015, and experienced inflation of 0.82 percent rural.
