Village Potential 2024: Unveiling Mamasa's Hidden Potential

[Mamasa, May 2, 2024] - Following intensive training in April, the Village Potential (Podes) Field Data Collection 2024 officers have now embarked on their mission. For a whole month from May 2 - 31, they will explore every corner of Mamasa's villages, gathering data without exception on this region.

The main objective of Podes 2024 is to provide accurate and up-to-date data that will serve as a crucial foundation for various important analysis. This data will be used for Identification and designation of underdeveloped villages, context variables in the Village Development Program (PMD), Identification of disaster-prone villages, Identification of villages with geographical difficulties.

Each officer will visit the villages and conduct in-depth interviews with village heads or village officials who have in-depth knowledge of the village's potential. The data obtained will be compiled and analyzed to provide a comprehensive picture of village potential at the village, district, and regency levels.

The Podes 2024 data collection will produce several important outputs, namely village potential data in the social, economic, and infrastructure sectors, Village Development Indicators (IPD), Geographical Difficulty Index (IKG), Village Index (ID).

This Podes 2024 data will later become an important guideline for various parties, including the government, academics, and the community, in formulating targeted and effective development policies and programs for the advancement of villages in Mamasa Regency. With accurate and up-to-date data, it is hoped that the villages in Mamasa can progress and reach their full potential.
