Abstract

Based on the results of the Consumer Price Survey 82 cities in Indonesia in May 2015, showed that 81 cities experienced inflation and deflation of the city. The highest inflation was in Palu 2.24 percent with CPI of 120.42 and the lowest at 0.03 percent with CPI Singkawang 119.28. While the city of Pinang Base deflation is that the index fell -0.61 percent with CPI of 118.06. With inflation at 1.05 per cent and CPI 117.53, Mamuju ranks eighth out of 81 cities that experienced inflation. Inflation in Mamuju in May 2015 occurred due to price increases shown by the increase in the price index in all expenditure groups, namely: foodstuffs at 2.22 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 1.53 percent; health group at 0.43 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.38 percent; clothing group of 0.29 percent; education, recreation and sport 0.11 percent; and transport, communication and financial services 0.10 percent. Calendar-year rate of change in the index in May 2015 in Mamuju is inflation 0.58 per cent while the inflation rate year-on-year (May 2015 to May 2014) amounted to 7.27 percent. Indonesia in May 2015 experienced inflation of 0.50 percent with CPI of 119.50. As for the calendar year until the month of May 2015, Indonesia experienced inflation of 0.42 percent and the index for the year to year change (May 2015 to May 2014) experienced inflation of 7.15 percent.
